Goftar privacy policy
Goftar (گفتار) is a free Farsi speech-to-text application for Windows, published by Ozthropic. You press a keyboard shortcut in any Windows application, speak in Persian, and the transcribed text is inserted where your cursor already was.
This page is the privacy policy governing Goftar specifically, separate from the privacy policy for the Ozthropic website, because the application handles data a marketing site does not: microphone access, transcription requests to a provider you select, an API key stored on your own machine, and optional diagnostic reports you choose to send.
Dictated audio and transcripts are not collected by Ozthropic. Audio is either processed entirely on your own computer by the offline engine, or sent directly from your computer to the transcription provider you configured, under that provider’s own terms.
Signing in with Google supplies an email address and account identifier, used to recognise your installation and to contact you about updates or problems with a release. The full text of this policy is on this page for anyone with JavaScript enabled.
